Shonan News is an automated digest of local news and events for the Shonan area of Japan. A script fetches public RSS feeds from local news and event sources each day, and a large language model writes a short English summary of each item's title and excerpt.

No article bodies are read or reproduced. Only the RSS feed's title and excerpt are sent to the model, and every summary links back to the original Japanese article.
