On 12 October, Yokohama Bank invited 13 children from Elizabeth Sanders Home to try surfing at La Reyes Shonan in Oi Town.
The children, from elementary through high school, took part in the surfing experience at the artificial surfing facility in Oi Town. Professional surfers Yahagi and Inoue provided instruction.
