Kamakura records over 650,000 beachgoers, 47% increase year-on-year

Kamakura City released figures on 11 September showing that during the open season from 1 July to 31 August, a total of 656,020 people visited the three municipal beaches ‘Zaimokuza’, ‘Yuigahama’, and ‘Koshigoe’. The number represents a 47% increase compared with the previous year and is the highest total in the Reiwa era.
