Shonan NewsMayor visits 99-year-old calligrapher Sano ahead of Respect for the Aged Day

On 14 September, Hiratsuka Mayor Ochiai Katsuhiro visited Sano Keisetsu (legal name Rokurou), a 99-year-old calligrapher who runs a calligraphy class in Hiratsuka and has reached ‘hakujū’ age, ahead of Respect for the Aged Day on 21 September. During the visit the mayor saw a piece in which Sano had written ‘hana’ (‘flower’).
