横須賀市上下水道局 マンホール事故防げ 消防と連携の救出訓練評価
The Yokosuka City Waterworks and Sewage Bureau conducted a coordinated rescue training exercise with the local fire department focused on preventing and responding to manhole accidents in the sewer system. The drill evaluated communication, rescue procedures, and safety measures for workers entering confined sewer spaces. The bureau later received recognition from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in the 2026 ‘Circulation Path Sewerage Award’ for its disaster prevention and mitigation efforts. Officials said the exercise and the award underscore the importance of ongoing joint training between municipal utilities and emergency services to protect workers and maintain critical infrastructure.
