Old Sagami River Bridge Piers Recreated in AR to Mark 100 Years Since Historic-Site Designation
旧相模川橋脚 鎌倉時代の姿ARで再現 史跡指定100年を記念
Chigasaki City Museum produced an augmented reality, or AR, experience that lets visitors see a three-dimensional reconstruction of the old Sagami River bridge piers at the Shimo-Machiya site as they would have looked when built in the Kamakura period. The project aims to raise public awareness of the historic site and commemorates the centennial of its designation as a protected historical site. The AR content is intended for use at the site so people can compare the present remains with the reconstructed appearance from centuries ago.
