Shonan News'Okuchiga Craft Market' organizer Junko Yamashita to hold event in Chigasaki from 10 October

Junko Yamashita, a 58-year-old resident of Chigasaki and a woodworking artisan, is one of the founders of the ‘Okuchiga Craft Market’, planned for 10 October through 12 October. She and fellow craft makers aim to showcase the appeal of Okuchiga and traditional handcrafts. The event will take place in Chigasaki City and feature works by several local craft artists. Yamashita hopes the market will raise awareness of local craftsmanship and attract visitors to the area.
