Shonan News'Iwate Local Performing Arts Festival' to be held at Kencho-ji on November 14 and 15

The festival, titled ‘Iwate Local Performing Arts Festival in Kamakura’, is scheduled for November 14 with performances starting at 3:30 p.m. and November 15 starting at 10:00 a.m. at Kencho-ji’s Ryuo-den. This year’s program will include a kagura ritual from Hayachine in Osako Town, Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture, among other regional acts. Proceeds from the event will be donated to support areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. Organizers are presenting the festival as a cultural exchange and benefit to aid recovery efforts.
