Hiroki Yokota, age 55 and living in Yokohama, serves as head coach of the Kamakura Public Golf Course’s official junior team ‘KPGJ’. Formed this spring, the team went unbeaten in six matches at the prefectural qualifying tournament this summer, securing a place at the East Japan tournament. The East Japan competition is scheduled to begin on 26 September, where the young players will compete regionally under Yokota’s leadership. Yokota says his passion for golf is focused on every single stroke as he develops the next generation of players.
