Yanagida Kouta is a member of the general incorporated association ‘Fire-prevention ONELOVE’ and travels to schools and workplaces to carry out educational and awareness activities. He and fellow firefighters across Japan share a strong wish that people know how to protect their own lives before emergency responders arrive. Yanagida focuses on practical, on-the-ground fire-prevention measures and aims to bring those perspectives directly to communities. He lives in Funakoshi, Yokosuka City, and is 34 years old.
