The event titled ‘手話言語の国際デー in ふじさわ’ took place on the 23rd at Fujisawa Station North Exit Sunpearl Plaza, with Fujisawa City Hall designated as the rain venue. The date coincides with the United Nations’ International Day of Sign Languages and Japan’s ‘Sign Language Day.’ Local activities aimed to promote recognition of sign language as a language and to connect people, and NEWS reporter Koyama participated in the event.
