Kanagawa Prefecture conducted emergency inspections of drainage and related equipment at underpasses it manages from August 19 to 31 in response to heavy rain that struck Chiba Prefecture on August 13. The inspections covered five underpasses in Hiratsuka City and Nakagun. The prefecture announced that all five locations showed no abnormalities. The inspection results were published by Kanagawa on September 1.
