Akiko Higuchi Leads Community Theater Group Kisa-kuza

Akiko Higuchi is the 68-year-old representative of the citizen theater troupe Kisa-kuza and lives in Takahamadai, Hiratsuka City. Kisa-kuza will give its final stage performance at the 25th Shonan Hiratsuka Citizen Theater Festival on September 19 and 20, ending the company’s 29-year run. Higuchi has aimed to make theater approachable and to make audiences laugh, describing the group’s mission as creating friendly, enjoyable performances for the community.
