Hayama switches AI on-demand taxi to fixed-schedule service after low ridership

Hayama Town has struggled with low ridership for its AI on-demand shared taxi service called ‘Hayamaru Taxi,’ launched as a trial to ease transport shortages in poorly served areas. In response, the town will revise the trial starting in December to operate on a fixed timetable and fixed routes instead of the current on-demand model.
