Fujisawa selects transport planner to study Izumino Line extension
いずみ野線延伸へ一手 連節バス機能強化で需要創出へ
Fujisawa City chose the public-interest Japan Transport Planning Association (Tokyo) on April 7 as the preferred negotiator for work studying the Izumino Line extension. The study is linked to Kanagawa Prefecture’s plan to widen the Takakura-Endo Road to four lanes, and aims to create demand by strengthening articulated bus functions where rail extension is difficult. The plan will examine measures such as improved bus-rail integration and last-mile services to support potential future rail extension and better connect local communities.
