Hiratsuka starts second phase of shared taxi trial in Okazaki district

Hiratsuka City will launch the second-phase demonstration of a reservation-only community shared taxi service in the Okazaki district starting September 17. The service aims to support mobility in an area with many hills and limited public transport, addressing a transportation gap. The trial continues efforts to provide accessible, on-demand travel for residents who face difficulties walking to bus stops or using regular transit.
