Hiratsuka City Museum of Art to Celebrate Kojin Kudo's 110th Birthday with Retrospective

The Hiratsuka City Museum of Art is staging a special exhibition to commemorate the 110th anniversary of Japanese-style painter Kojin Kudo (工藤甲人, 1915–2011), who established an atelier in Hiratsuka in 1962 and worked there for half a century. The show opens September 19 and surveys Kudo’s long career and his ties to the city. The museum will present selected works and materials that reflect his contribution to regional and Japanese painting.
