Exhibition Focuses on Yamaguchi Hoshun and Next-Generation Artists

The Yamaguchi Hoshun Memorial Museum in Hayama, marking its 35th anniversary this year, will hold the autumn special exhibition “From Hoshun to the Next Generation” starting September 19. The show highlights Yamaguchi Hoshun, a prominent Nihonga painter active from the Taisho to Showa periods, and showcases works by artists he influenced and contemporary successors. The museum aims to trace artistic lineage and explore how Hoshun’s techniques and themes have been carried forward by later generations.
