NPO Zenshin, run by people with lived experience, held an event titled “Support for Improving School Nonattendance and Hikikomori — Career Consultation & Enjoying New Sports,” aimed at children suffering from school refusal, social withdrawal, and gaming or internet addiction, and their parents. The program combined career consultations with recreational “newsports” activities to help participants relax and build confidence. Organizers emphasized peer understanding and practical guidance toward independence, offering both emotional support and information on future pathways.
