Professionals meet in Chogo to prevent isolation of elderly

Around 30 participants including neighborhood association heads, minsei-iin, care managers, and CSWs met at the vacant-house community hub Iseyama Fureai Salon in the Chogo area on August 27. The study session aimed to improve cooperation among professionals to prevent social isolation of older residents and to discuss practical responses and information-sharing. Attendees exchanged local case examples and considered using the salon as a regular coordination point for outreach and resident support.
