Yokosuka City Partners with Industry and Schools to Support Local Youth Employment

Yokosuka City has begun an initiative partnering with a correspondence high school support campus and the Yokosuka Chamber of Commerce and Industry to encourage young people to take jobs with companies in the city. The city set up a base inside the Honmachi Industry Exchange Plaza to run outreach services, use the support school’s curriculum for career education, and coordinate employer visits and matching. The program aims to strengthen ties between schools, businesses, and local government to boost employment opportunities for the younger generation within Yokosuka.
