Miri Hachimura Works to Bridge Policy and Projects to Build Local Pride

As a high school third-year student, Miri Hachimura thought up the idea of a navy parka to foster local pride by encouraging residents to wear a common garment, and the idea grew into a broader movement. Since then she has continued taking on challenges, focusing on connecting policy and practical projects to strengthen community ties and local identity. Hachimura’s efforts aim to translate civic ideas into sustainable initiatives that let residents express and deepen their affection for their hometown.
