Hiratsuka Hibari Kindergarten reunites 110 alumni in final years before closure

Hiratsuka Municipal Hibari Kindergarten, led by Principal Harafuji Masayuki, opened its building to the public on August 26, drawing about 110 visitors including former pupils, their parents, and local residents. The event let participants revisit classrooms and playgrounds and share memories as the kindergarten prepares to close in March 2027 after 73 years of operation. Organizers held the reunion to mark the school’s long history and give alumni a chance to say goodbye to the familiar facilities. The opening was held at the Goten site of the kindergarten.
