Chigasaki Athletes Reach Podiums at National Junior Championships

Middle-school national championships took place at various venues, and athletes living in or affiliated with Chigasaki City excelled in swimming and athletics. In swimming, Yuto Kimura won the boys’ 100-meter breaststroke, representing Shonan Swimming School. Chigasaki-linked competitors also reached the podium in track-and-field events, earning honors for their performances. Local coaches and teammates praised the athletes’ efforts and said the results reflect growing youth sports development in Chigasaki.
