Yokosuka Gakuin Middle School Wind Ensemble Qualifies for First East Kanto Tournament After 32 Years

Yokosuka Gakuin Middle School (Yokosuka City, Inaokachō) wind ensemble won the ‘Gold Prize and Representative’ in the middle school B division at the 75th Kanagawa Prefecture Wind Ensemble Competition held this summer. Their prize earned them a spot at the East Kanto Tournament, to be held on September 19 in Chiba Prefecture, marking the program’s first-ever advancement to that tournament. The qualification is described as the culmination of 32 years of effort by the school’s ensemble.
