Katsu Ito, who runs the Tsujido restaurant Takumiito, held an event called “Summer Play at the Sea!” on August 27, inviting children living at the Seien Kodomo no Ie child-care facility. The event took place at Koshigoe Beach in Kamakura and offered swimming, beach play, and a barbecue prepared by Ito. The outing aimed to give children in care a chance to enjoy the sea and a day of fun they might not otherwise have.
