Kamakura City Assembly Elects Shingo Hinata as New Chairman

Kamakura City Assembly accepted the resignation of Chairman 中沢克之 (Katsuyuki Nakazawa), age 60, and held elections for the chair and vice chair on August 20. Vice chair 日向慎吾 (Shingo Hinata), age 43, was elected chairman, and 森功一 (Koichi Mori), age 55, was elected vice chairman. The vote followed Nakazawa’s formal resignation request and completed the assembly’s leadership transition.
