Shonan S.C. Sakurai father and son place nationally in sport chambara

Kazuo Sakurai, 46, a coach at the DREAMWAY Shonan S.C. sport chambara school based in Shonandai and Mutsuai and living in Samukawa Town, and his 16-year-old son Yuri, a student at the same school, achieved national placements in a recent sport chambara tournament. The pair train and compete through their local club, which provides instruction and promotes the sport in the Shonan area. Their national recognition highlights the club’s development of both youth participants and instructors.
