Niko Niko After-School Club Hosts Hands-On Hayama Sea Experience

Niko Niko Gakudou Club in Nagara, Hayama Town held a three-day experiential program called “Niko Gaku” from August 17 to 19 for about 80 first- through sixth-grade students. The program aimed to spark interest in the local environment and everyday things by letting children learn about the Hayama sea, its marine life, and fishing methods. Activities included guided observation, hands-on experiences with caught fish, and discussions to deepen understanding of how the local sea ecosystem connects to daily life. Organizers said the initiative sought to foster curiosity and environmental awareness among the participating children.
