Designer of Kamakura Ethical Train Wrapping: Toshihito Sawado, 62, Zaimokuza Resident

Toshihito Sawado, 62, of Zaimokuza, designed the wrapping for the Kamakura Ethical Train as part of the city's Fair Trade Town efforts, the project’s organizers said.
Kamakura was certified as a Fair Trade Town about a year and a half ago, and local initiatives promoting ethical consumption have followed. Toshihito Sawado, a founding member of the promotion group Kamakura Ethical Lab, created the train’s wrapping design to help integrate ethical choices into everyday life. Sawado sees the project as a hub to connect people and encourages individuals to bring ethics into daily routines. He continues to be active in the community promoting awareness of fair trade and ethical practices.
