The Iwato Summer Fireworks Festival, organized by local volunteers, was held on August 21 at Yokosuka Municipal Iwato Junior High School’s athletic field. Masashi Nagashima of Iwato served as executive chair, and the community-funded event launched 1,000 fireworks that lit up the school buildings and brought residents together. The festival was intended to create summer memories and strengthen local ties, with organizers and participants celebrating safely and cooperatively.
