Tsukushi Kindergarten Brings Smiles Through Food Education

Tsukushi Kindergarten, led by principal Kinuko Ozaki, uses the rich natural environment of the Kiname River basin for hands-on food education. Children till soil, sow seeds and tend crops with their own small hands, learning where food comes from. Because they cultivate the produce themselves, they experience the joy of harvest and of eating what they helped grow.
