Robotic-assisted surgeries at Hiratsuka City Hospital range from cancer to pelvic organ prolapse
平塚市民病院のロボット支援下手術 がん治療から骨盤臓器脱まで
Hiratsuka City Hospital’s domestically produced surgical support robot is operating smoothly and has been used on nearly every weekday during this fiscal year. Surgeons are using the robot’s delicate movements and precise control to treat urologic cancers of the prostate, kidney, and bladder, as well as gynecologic procedures and pelvic organ prolapse. The hospital reports the technology has expanded its surgical capabilities across multiple specialties and increased the regularity of minimally invasive operations. Patients benefit from the robot’s precision, which supports complex procedures that require fine manipulation.
