Nine doll floats gather at Kōdaijingu for annual festival

皇大神宮に9基の人形山車が大集合 17日、例大祭

Kōdaijingu, affectionately known as Karasumori Shrine and located at 鵠沼神明2の11の5, held its customary grand festival on the 17th. The centerpiece was the joint display of nine ningyō dashi doll floats reaching up to 8 meters high, a tradition dating back to the mid-Meiji period and maintained by nine local parishioner associations. The event drew local residents to view the towering floats and celebrate the shrine’s long-running communal rites.
