Nine doll floats gather at Kōdaijingu for annual festival

Kōdaijingu, affectionately known as Karasumori Shrine and located at 鵠沼神明２の11の５, held its customary grand festival on the 17th. The centerpiece was the joint display of nine ningyō dashi doll floats reaching up to 8 meters high, a tradition dating back to the mid-Meiji period and maintained by nine local parishioner associations. The event drew local residents to view the towering floats and celebrate the shrine’s long-running communal rites.
