Miura Gakuen High School, a strong program from Kanagawa, earned a spot in the 71st National High School Rubber-Ball Baseball Championship in Hyogo Prefecture, held August 24–29. The team secured the South Kanto regional championship with repeated come-from-behind victories, extending a streak of national appearances to five over two consecutive years.
