Miura Coast Art Festival Creates Submerged Six-Tatami Room Installation

三浦海岸アートフェス 海の底に沈んだ6畳間 地元アート集団が異空間表現

The Miura Coast Art Festival brought artworks to the shoreline to propose new uses for the beach, staging one project at Akiya Gallery Fuyoso (Minamishitaura-cho, Kamimiyata 3323) that evokes a submerged living space. A Miura-based local art collective transformed the gallery into an otherworldly scene resembling a six-tatami room lying on the seafloor, part of the festival’s effort to create immersive, site-specific works that engage with the coastal environment.
