Yokosuka City held a seminar titled “Things to Cherish: Your Body, Someone Else’s Body — Talks About Sex and Life to Consider with Children” on September 5 for third- to sixth-grade elementary school students and their guardians. The program aimed to teach correct knowledge about gender equality and diverse sexualities, encouraging parent-child discussion about bodies, consent, and respect. City officials presented age-appropriate information and provided materials to help parents continue conversations at home.
