Teachers Encouraged to Be Like Charcoal Fires, Deepening Inquiry Beyond School Walls

先生も「炭火」のように探究を 学校の枠超え「子どもたちの未来と自らの学び」語らう

The Kamakura City Board of Education promotes learner-centered learning where students study deeply and proactively, likened to the steady heat of charcoal fires. To extend that approach to teachers, a dialogue event was held on July 31 at municipal Yuigahama Junior High School for educators from inside and outside schools to discuss students’ futures and their own professional learning. Participants exchanged ideas on practices that nurture sustained inquiry and reflected on how schools can collaborate across traditional boundaries to support both student agency and teacher development.
