Hiratsuka police honor resident for finding and protecting missing person

Hiratsuka Police presented a letter of appreciation on July 29 to Miyagawa Chiyoko (81), a Hiratsuka resident, for locating and protecting a missing person. Miyagawa found the person after leaving her apartment in the rain around 5:00 p.m. on July 6; she returned the individual to their home and stayed with them until police arrived. The police praised her appropriate care and cooperation in ensuring the person’s safety.
