Fujisawa-grown indigo to be used in shochu by Kagoshima distillery

Universe Frontier, a Fujisawa-based real estate investment consultancy, and platinum brewer Hakkin Shuzo of Aira, Kagoshima Prefecture, are working together to make and market alcohol made from indigo cultivated in Fujisawa. The partners are currently progressing with production and product development using the locally grown indigo. The project highlights a regional collaboration between a local Fujisawa firm and a southern Japan distillery to create a unique, locally sourced beverage.
