Yukako Kobayashi, 42, a resident of Hiratsuka City, has been director of Hiratsuka City Minami Library since its recent reopening and took the post about two months ago. She organizes daily operations and events with the goal of creating a place where visitors think “I’m glad I came” and want to return, and she is hosting a film screening on August 23 to foster intergenerational encounters in the community.
