Tokai University Matsumae Memorial Hall offers sculpture maintenance workshop

The Matsumae Memorial Hall, a history-and-future museum on Tokai University Shonan Campus, held a workshop on July 12 where 30 local junior high students and museum studies trainees practiced sculpture maintenance. Participants cleaned and inspected works including a bust of the university founder, learning basic conservation techniques under staff guidance. The event aimed to deepen local youth engagement with cultural heritage and provide hands-on training for future museum professionals.
