Despite Heat Wave, Collection Workers Keep Recycling and Garbage Pickup on Schedule

In Chigasaki, municipal collection staff and members of the Chigasaki Resource Separation and Collection Cooperative, chaired by Sakamoto Yusuke, have been working daily despite a heat wave with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius. The cooperative, contracted by the city, and city-run crews have been carrying out resource collection and garbage pickup while enduring the high heat. Workers have been taking precautions and continuing services to maintain sanitation and recycling schedules for residents.
