Chigasaki City opened collection for the “令和8年熊本地震災害義援金” to support victims of the Kumamoto earthquake estimated at M7.1 that occurred on July 28, 2026. Donation boxes have been placed at the city hall main building and branch office. The city is accepting contributions through October 30, 2026.
