Bon Bamboo Lantern Festival on the Miura Peninsula 2026
【〜8月30日（日）】盆竹灯籠まつり in 三浦半島 2026
Temples in Yokosuka City and Miura City reused bamboo harvested during bamboo grove maintenance to create bamboo lanterns for a serene Obon prayer event. Each temple lit lanterns on its grounds and offered varied activities such as visiting ancestral letters, Bon dances, and food trucks. The event started at 17:00 at each participating temple, and inquiries were handled by Joraku-ji at 046 (856) 8622.
