The town will be lively for a full day on July 11. From 10:00 to 20:00 daytime events include the Yokosuka Open Port Bazaar, a memorial ceremony for Admiral Perry’s landing, and Bon Odori dancing, followed by about 7,000 fireworks lighting the night sky from 19:30; the event will be canceled in case of severe weather. The venues are Perry Park and Kurihama shopping street Haro-doori among others, and inquiries can be made to the Kurihama Tourism Association office at 046（834）1111.
